I’ve been in Spain for the last 3 weeks, got back this afternoon. Have not
tried but reading the notes online if the vehicle was registered before 1997
then the car doesn’t qualify for even the lowest grey rating 6.
Crit'Air categories
- Green – Crit’Air E (zero emissions – electric and hydrogen vehicles)
- Purple – Crit’Air 1 (gas and rechargeable hybrid vehicles)
- Yellow – Crit’Air 2 (Euro 5 and Euro 6 vehicles)
- Orange – Crit’Air 3 (Euro 4 vehicles)
- Burgundy – Crit’Air 4 (Euro 3 vehicles)
- Dark Grey – Crit’Air 5 (Euro 2 vehicles)
Andy has just got a Orange Crit’Air 3 for his Grif. I will try tomorrow and see
if I can get at least a Dark Grey Crit’Air 5 because I’ve only recently bought
my S3 from Simon and wanted to blast it through the Rouen Tunnel! 😕

RE: [selnwktvrcc] Crit’Air Certification France Hi all,
Am I right in thinking for a year 2000 Tuscan it's Euro 2 and 405g/km for CO2
emmissions?
Just filling the details in on this site: www.certificat-air.gouv.fr/demande
Thanks
Rob

Crit’Air Certification France Hi Mark.
I Googled it before my last post before I replied, but I haven’t bought
anything yet.
I was referring to the Crit’Air sticker that goes in the windscreen. I know
cars prior to 97 can’t apply but I have no idea re historics, as far as I could
see if it’s pre 97 you need to stay out of the zone.
You need your V5 document for the relevant car as it will show some info you
need to get the right certification.
As said, I haven’t gone into it in great depth yet but I do know several TVR
owners who have done it without issue.
All the best
Nick

Hi Nick
If the car was built before 97 it does not qualify for a Crit’Aire certificate.
Cars over 30 years can get an exemption as a historic but how do you apply. You
say it is only £3 for the required cert for life is this the Crit’Aire or
exemption cert.

There’s no doubt travelling anywhere in our cars is getting more difficult as
time goes by, particularly if you live or want to travel through a major city.
The good news is the required certificate in France only costs about £3.00 for
the lifetime of your car, plus the alternative route you mentioned is rather
pleasant, see attached.
For those travelling into Europe this year it’s worth investigating a Crit’Aire
sticker as the fine for not having one is a bit tasty if you get caught.
All the best
Nick

Nick, I expect you are all aware of this but in case it should have past you
by, if your car was registered before 1997 you cannot take it through Rouen if
your heading to Le Mans.
I will not qualify for a 3 certificate or better. In fact it won’t qualify for
any certification.
Will need to take the S3 via the western route and over the Pont de Brotonne
