I just tested:
Pro on Snow Leopard Intel - works
Maxi on 10.4.11 Intel - works
Maxi on 10.4.11 PPC - works
Check the OS System Preferences - Keyboard - Keyboard Short-Cuts if (alt-cmd-S
or option-cmd-S) is already in use by the OS.
