3a - After dash - they should be referred to SDSU - present contact is Dr.
Jerry Orosz
New 3c. SDSU is developing a unique telescope array at Mt Laguna called
Evryscope for wide field transient observing. There is a companion unit
operating now in the Southern Hemisphere. They will make a presentation at a
program meeting on the scope and how members can use it for SN or exoplanet
work.
5B last sentence- Ed is looking for groups to use the Lipp and is sending
invitations to professors. Kin will work with the local Boy Scout council to
schedule scout science nights at TDS.
5D Here is the present schedule:
February - Citizen Science - Scott Dixon and Pat Boyce
March - Lyford Rome, NASA Solar System Ambassador - Mars Exploration
April is the joint SDAA-IDA meeting
May - Jerry Hilburn will be back in town and talk about the Osiris-REx mission.
June - Maybe Mars opposition photography
July -
August - Dennis Mamanna on Skyscape imaging
September -
October -
November - Gadget Night
6a and improve the audio quality.
7c SDAA has an associate membership category that is limited to individuals
under 18 under the by-laws. Pat Boyce asked if there was a way to offer free
memberships to other students, including those over 18 in college, as an
encouragement. Membership categories are established by the by-laws while
membership fees are controlled by the board. We (I don’t remember who - Jeff?)
is looking into the possibility of establishing a student category of basic
membership with no membership fee.
