to hear from you. I have the date for the meeting marked on the calendar. I
should be there - Wednesday is usually good for me.
I will either get a basket to you or send you something for baskets. Not a
problem.
Will have a look at the books and vote. Have read two out of four but it's

Hello Everyone,
It’s time to select the book for Scranton Reads 2018! We have scheduled a
meeting for Wednesday, February 7th at 4:30 pm at our Library Express Branch on
the 2nd Floor of the Marketplace at Steamtown. We’ll be meeting to discuss
which book to read and the Cask for a Cause Fundraiser that we were able to
secure in March at Cooper’s Seafood in Scranton.
The books up for vote are:
1. Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
2. Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier
3. War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells
4. 1984 by George Orwell

Cask for a Cause happens the last Friday of each month at Cooper’s Seafood in
Scranton. It’s a great event where beer sales of the specialty firkin beer is
donated to the organization being sponsored. We had a lot of fun when we
participated in 2016 and were lucky to get on the 2018 list. We will be
looking for baskets to raffle or even just donations that we can build a basket
around. Please let me or Sylvia know if you have something you’d like to
donate. The more the baskets the better! Save the date for March 30th starting
at 5 pm.
