NEW DELHI, DEC 4: SBI Life Insurance, a joint venture between State Bank of
India and French insurance major Cardiff SA, is likely to record a premium
earning of about Rs 140 crore during the current fiscal. Last year, the
company?s premium earning was estimated at Rs 72 crore.

Managing director and CEO R Krishnamurthy told FE that last year about 50 per
cent of this had come from single premium policy. ?This year, we have had no
single premium policy due to the imposition of withholding tax,? he said.
