I am writing from the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta Canada as we
would like to encourage your club to arrange a club trip to our beautiful
property to experience the Dark Skies of Canada. I am looking to connect with
the person in your club who might plan events such as this one.
Jasper National Park located in Alberta Canada is one of the largest Dark Sky
Reserves in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a total area
of 11,000 square kilometers. Our hotel along with Tourism Jasper hosts a
number of special programs throughout the fall and winter months to highlight
the importance of our Dark Sky status and to promote better awareness of how
important the reduction of light pollution really is.
This winter we have a special offer for Astronomy Clubs to visit our
property. Based on a 2 night minimum stay and double occupancy we have
packages starting at $359 Canadian per night. Our packages include breakfast
for two, welcome gifts and access to our Dark Sky Plateau and Planetarium.
Please find in the attached document a poster that you can share with your
club.
To access our group rates, we do require that groups book a minimum of 8
rooms per night based on a 2 night stay. To help manage logistics, we can
easily arrange for guests to pay individually for their package through a
dedicated webpage.
Beyond the Stars – there are so many winter activities in Jasper from skiing,
wildlife tours, skating, snowshoeing and dogsledding, spa and dining.
I would be happy to discuss this offer in more detail, along with the best
way for groups to arrange transportation to and from Jasper Park Lodge.
