ok Paul
I will send an e-mail to him to let him know you will be setting up a day and
time with him.
He said he doesn't cover constellations and would like someone to talk about
that.

I have a teacher in Post
Falls that is looking for someone to come out and talk about
constellations. It is a Daytime
presentation. You have a choice
on the day.

Class Hi
RichGreat
to hear from you. As Paul mentioned you are welcome to join
our group out at Fishtrap for viewing.
I can
get someone to come to your classroom to do a presentation.
We could also setup a starparty at the school if you have
some open space for viewing and not to much light pollution.
Or if you have a place in Postfalls that you know you can go
to. We could bring out a couple of
telescopes.Other
resources would be Our local Solar System Ambassador Joe
Bruce joefbruce1@xxxxxxxxxxx
he
can talk about the different missions and different projects
that are happening at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. (JPL)
He
also has some cool space collection that he brings to
classes. Space suits etc...So
the best days for starparty if we are coming to you would be
a Friday night, around first quarter moon. Paul mentioned
the dates for our Fishtrap
starparties. You
can decide on dates and get back to me and I will see about
a presentation.Debbie

Class Debbie is our outreach
coordinator (cc). You won't need your own
viewing equipment--most of the club members are
delighted to have you peer through their telescopes, and
the club also has
equipment we often bring to public events. We can
also schedule a viewing
at your school in Post Falls, if that is more convenient
for you. If it is clear there will
probably be folks out at the Fishtrap viewing
site October 17th. If it is NOT clear, no one is apt
to go out. The clear
sky ap for that site is available on our web
page. Viewing dates for November will
be the 7th and/or 14th, and for December we
might be out on the 5th, but the 12th is the day after the
new moon. Count
on that one if it is clear and not horribly
cold. -----Original Message-----

Class Hello John, Debbie, Jim, Paul,
Gary.
My name is Rich Raynor and I am the math teacher at New
Vision High School
(an alternative high school) in Post Falls, Idaho.
Next quarter I will be teaching an astronomy class. This is
the first time
that I have taught astronomy and am hoping to find some
help and resources.
I see on your website that you have viewing nights every
month. I was
wondering if we might be able to join you in November,
December and
January. Unfortunately we will not have any of our own
equipment.
Also, does your group have any speakers that come to
classrooms for
presentations?
Do you know of any other group that might have speakers or
presentations? I
am planning on making a trip to the SFCC planetarium.
Do you know any other contacts that might have resources
that would be good
for a classroom? Rich Raynor
