Hi all,
Just thought I'd share some interesting things going on w/ Jupiter and its
Galilean satellites this week. On Tuesday around 11:45 PM Ganymede's
shadow should begin a transit, followed by the transit of the moon itself
about 90 minutes later. The GRS should be visible as well.
Then on Thursday there will a double transit of first Europa ( shadow
transit starts at 11:15 PM) and then Io (shadow transit starts at about
1:40 AM Friday). The GRS is visible for nearly the entire event. Cool.
How do I know all this? Javascript Jupiter
<http://www.shallowsky.com/jupiter/>!
I'm planning to observe both events if possible.
