I plan on going, so there will be at least a 12.5” dob. Plus two pairs of solar
viewing binoculars for looking at sunspots and trying them out to see if you
might want to buy a pair to view the upcoming eclipse.

Directions to the SAS Fishtrap Dark Sky site can be found at
http://www.spokaneastronomical.org/events-2/star-parties/ . The SAS already had ;
their "Star Party" scheduled for the same date (Sat., July 22, 7:00-11:55 PM)
there at Fishtrap, so consider going there. There will likely be far more
telescopes at Fishtrap than there would be at (light polluted) Cheney/EWU.

Fishtrap should work. I don’t expect a ton of EWU people to come. We usually go
to an area behind the EWU football stadium, kind of by the water tower. I’ll
talk to out club members and see what they want to do.

The SAS viewing area is Fishtrap, a decently dark sky not terribly far from
Cheney. Where do you want to set up?

Hello!
I'm with the EWU Astronomy club. We
would like to go star gazing next Saturday night, the 22nd.
We were wondering if any SAS members would be around and
willing to help us out a bit, possibly let us use some
telescopes and show us some cool things because we know next
to nothing.
Thank you!
