eric, if the board meets saturday morning - do they plan to call us on our
cells for sunday general meeting?
confusing. i hope bob h. is getting better, he is our real strength. at last
board meeting two of the members
got very loud in the restaurant one even slammed his fist on the table when i
brought up the topic of duties for the station master. the two of them seemed
to think that there should be no rules or procedures for operating the radio
equipment and that the station master's duties was only to keep an inventory of
the equipment that we own. that wouldn't work in a flying club where airline
capts are required to take check outs in cessna 150's
before they are turned loose. at the ucsb club, w6rfu, everyone is required
to be observed prior to giving them a key. i am diverting my charitable giving
to that club at this time, we have a nice shot from the top of the engineering
bldg due east. members of sarc who reside in goleta or s.b. may join this club
with proper vetting.
regards, george w6nre
