[SAN] Here's once more: SAN Website relaunched

SAN WEBSITE RELAUNCHED WITH NEW FUNCTIONALITIES
On 1 December 2005, the Society of Applied Neuroscience relaunched its
website <http://www.applied-neuroscience.org>, unveiling a new look with
added features. This effort is part of the current drive to help the
Society raise its profile and respond better to the needs of its audience.
The aim of the redesign was to make the site more dynamic and user-friendly
while taking advantage of developing web technologies and increased
functionality. The new website uses an Open Source Content Management
System (<http://www.joomla.org/>http://www.joomla.org).
Additional features of the new site include:
* Full-text search of the website, including abstracts;
* Members Directory with links to members' websites;
* Members-only area;
* Possibility for registered members to post job opportunities to the SAN
website;
* Possibility for registered members to post meeting and events to the SAN
website.
Future developments are under implementation and being planned, including
an improved online dues payment sytem.
Regarding the Members Directory: if you think you are a member in good
standing and you do not find yourself in the Members Directory, or your
information is out-of-date, please write to

The website will play an increasingly important part in the promotion of
the SAN in the future, and it is hoped that users will find the new site
both informative and easy to use.
