Zaria T. Woodard, 6th grader at St. Andrews, is also a member of the
Band and the St. Andrews Step Team competed in the 2007 Gold National
Cup Taekwondo Tournament in Queens, New York and received two 1st place
6-foot trophies. One for poomse (forms) and the other for sparring
(fighting) against a 2nd pun (degree) black belt from Illinois. Zaria is
a 1st pun (degree) black belt. Oct. 2007
She also competed in Winston, Salem, NC and received a 3-foot trophy
for her poomse (forms) and a bronze medal for sparring (fighting). Nov.
2007
Go Zaria! We are so proud of you. Look out for her in upcoming local
events.
(Zaria is on the Band not Orchestra...oops!)
