Hi everyone, please see the email trail below. I'm sure you will join me in
thanking Gemma for all the help and support she has given us and helping us
grow our group and developing new ideas and fundraising initiatives. It is sad
to see her moving West but I'm sure she will keep an eye on our progress. Lee
is lovely and will be a great support he is based in Southampton which is
nearby for us and on the occasions I've met him he seemingly has a good sense
of fun and endless energy. I'm sure like me you are all looking forward to next
year fingers crossed for some good fundraising experiences. Thank you for all
your support apologies this year has been such a wash out. On a personal note
without you we would not have the life changes like Queenie and this year in
particular she has played a massive part in both my life and the life of my
team in the NHS in helping with the pandemic challenges. I hope you all have a
lovely Christmas and I will be in touch soon thanks Katie

Hi Justin, please see below email from my Manager informing you of some
changes. I have had a phone conversation with Katie today to explain and
reassure her. It doesn't mean we'll never see or speak to each other again!
Dear Salisbury group,
Firstly, let me take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for your
continued dedication to Guide Dogs over the last 12 extremely challenging
months. Guide Dogs has never experienced anything like it and we have needed to
adapt and change in very uncertain circumstances, in order to raise as much as
possible to keep our amazing services running for those who need us. It does
mean that we have had to make some difficult decisions and one of these has
been to freeze recruitment for most of our vacant roles in Community
Fundraising. In the South West this left us with a geographical patch not
covered by a Community Fundraising Relationship Manager. Special thanks to
those groups who have been affected by this, for your patience and support.
As a result, we have reviewed the areas covered by our South West Community
Fundraising Relationship Manager team and adjusted the areas in order to give
us full coverage. You are receiving this email as your group will be affected
by these changes. Your Fundraising Group will now be supported by Lee Thresher,
who will be looking forward to speaking with you in the New Year to get to know
you and your group volunteers and help you achieve your fundraising ambitions
in 2021.
Our Community Fundraising Supporter Care team will continue to provide that
first level of support for day to day needs
(southwestgroups@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:southwestgroups@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>),
with your Community Fundraising Relationship Manager providing expert advice,
guidance and support, whilst also working with our many donors who support us
in other ways such as naming puppies, third party fundraising and charity of
the year, for example.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas,
and here's to 2021.
