Just a reminder to join us for the July SAC meeting this coming Friday
starting at 7:30 pm at Grand Canyon University in Fleming Hall. Our speaker
this month will be Dr. Gerard van Belle from Lowell Observatory. His topic
will be concerning how modern optical instruments manipulate light and the
implications for next generation telescopes.
On another note, next month will feature SAC members as presenters. Topics
can cover any aspect of astronomy and space science with presentations
lasting up to 10 minutes. That does mean the presentation can last less than
10 min as well so don¹t be shy if you have something of interest but don¹t
think it will last 10 minutes. We¹d love to hear from you. If you plan to
present next month, send me a note off line at popps@xxxxxxxxx
Wait, there¹s more! Also next month will be our club¹s mid summer swap meet.
Dust off that astro gear or item you¹ve been meaning to part with and bring
it on over. You might just find a willing buyer. Bring you check book or
cash incase something catches your eye.
