Hi AJ, I actually did try for the objects in Lynx and Leo Minor with my 4² refractor in my back yard in Scottsdale. Sad to report, no go on any of them. This is not real surprising of course but I did want to see just what the limits might be. I could see M81 and M82 as a comparison. Actually see some detail not just fuzzy shapes but none of the others were visible. This was with a goto mount so I know they were in the eyepiece just not visible. Clear Sky Chart said the seeing was average and the transparency was good.
