I concur with Mr. Poppre's positions regarding domain renewal and
Sitelock services. Since the board can authorize the expense of domain
renewal without need to place the issue before the general membership, I
submit the following motion:
The board members of Saguaro Astronomy Club authorize payment of
$58.32 for two-year renewal of the saguaroastro.org domain plus private
registration services?
Regarding the second issue, Sitelock services, I suggest that we defer
this until the upcoming board meeting where we can gain better
understanding of value versus cost. I presume that this service is not
presently in use, however I invite Bill to correct me or, if he sees an
immediate need to add this service, to provide more information.
SAC board members: Please respond to the motion presented above at
your earliest convenience. Our domain expires before the scheduled board
meeting in May.
