Hello Board:
I have been in continuing contact with Glendale Parks & Rec, working on
preliminary details for the Spring Thunderbird Park Public Star Party that
is projected for Saturday, April 17, 2010. They want us to jump thru a
couple hoops this year. Before I announce, we need to clear up these two items:
#1 The 59th Ave entrance will be closed off during the event and only the
67th Ave entrance will be open. We will need to change our maps and
directions on the website, the newsletter, and handouts to reflect this new
arrangement. I will scout the area, write new directions and report on here.
#2 Glendale wants to know the limits of our liability insurance and would
like us to name them specifically on our liability insurance policy as a
party, i.e., "City of Glendale", even tho they also have their own
insurance. I don't know if it is the Treasurer or Secretary who administers
this policy with our Agent. They would need to review the policy and see if
Glendale is already listed on there, and if not, have the policy amended to
have them listed.
