Voting by email is fine. We had a discussion along this line when I was
president and we had to take action upon the death of David Fredericksen.
Email voting by the board should be adequate.

Mitch, are you moving we move on this or are you suggesting the actual
movement? I think you're suggesting the actual movement; therefore, I
second the movement that we spend the $300 for port-a-johns.
Many movements regarding future movements.

Does anyone see why we could not vote on this via e-mail? I do not find any
such information in the Constitution and Bylaws.

Chris

OK, I'm game, I'll move that we spend the $300 so that we can vote on
it. Mitch

Good catch, Rick. I am looking at the SAC Constitution now. It was
last updated on March 26, 2010. In Article VIII: Moneys and Properties,
it reads, "In the event of unforeseen or emergency circumstances, in
support of previously approved activities, the board may approve
spending up to a maximum total of $500, with notification of the
membership at the next club meeting."

So the Board may approve spending up to $500, and all that's required is
a notification.

Now, are we allowed to do this vote on the SAC Board e-mail list? If
so, somebody should make a motion to spend the $300, and we can put if
up for vote.

Tom
