Hey all,
Here it is. The info you need is below, but I believe that Paul will need to
set up each of these emails to be usable with SACboard, forum, and announce.
Stan, when you get some time, please set these up on the website in place of
our personal emails using the JavaScript to keep the spambots at bay.

I'd like to thank Bob, Stan, and Paul for helping out with this.

I'm going to set mine up and test it out.

Thad

Hi Thad,

I've set up all of the accounts shown below.

president@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
vicepresident@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
treasurer@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
secretary@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
properties@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
novicegroup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
newsletter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
publicevents@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
atmgroup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
deepskygroup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The default password for all accounts is currently "password" (without the
quotes). For those that are very computer experienced, they can set up their
e-mail client with the following info, using president@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx as an
example:

account:president@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (the full e-mail address, NOT just president)
password: password (can be easily changed - see below)
POP3: saguaroastro.org
SMTP: saguaroastro.org, but most ISP's today won't allow you to use an SMTP
server other than theirs (SPAM control), so if this doesn't work, put in the
current SMTP server name for your existing personal e-mail account, or just use
the web interface (see below).

To change the password to something unique, go to
http://www.saguaroastro.org:8000 (you must put the "http://"; in front of
www.saguaroastro.org or it won't work). Once there, log in using your full
e-mail address (i.e. president@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), and current password, and
click the "login" button. Once logged in, under "Options" click "change
password" and set the password accordingly. Remember that passwords are case
sensitive. You can also access your e-mail from this screen as well (the one
before changing your password), so for those folks that don't want to mess with
yet another e-mail account in their e-mail client, this is certainly an option
as you can send, receive, reply, forward, etc. from this web interface.

Please let me know if any problems or questions. If someone messes up their
password, I can always reset it, but I have to be at home to do it, as the
firewall at Intel is not sympathetic to this kind of activity :-)

/Bob

  Hello Bob,

OK, well, as you may have seen, the board voted it in. So we'll need email
addys for the following....

  President
  VicePresident
  Treasurer
  Secretary
  Properties
  NoviceGroup
  Newsletter
  WebMaster
  PublicEvents
  ATMgroup
  DeepSkygroup

Whenever is convenient for you is more than fine. We thank you for doing
this for us. Just let us know when you're ready, and what we each have to do
to set them up. (ie, "incoming" & "outgoing" in Outlook Express Accounts, or
address if Web-based, where to set up passwords, etc....)

  Many thanks,
  Thad
