off submitting that days newspaper until I know how to do it correctly.

The alternative name will appear in the index, and refer to the first name,
and the first name is the one that appears in the paper, the second being
further down in the advertisement.
I have suggested to Margaret that she gets in touch with John before
submitting.

Is that right, Bill? I see your reasoning, but you can't put in
somebody else's name and call it the first person's alternative name.
That way, the "alternative" details of death, etc., won't appear in
the Index. Both have the same surname, so there should be no problem
