Dear all, Would you believe that the deadline for the September Rustic has already passed ;-) I have quite a lot of newsy material to use already - thanks. However I am devoid of any items to go in My Favourite Artefact or anything else about aspects of the collection. While the news items are particularly of interest to the working volunteers, the collection items are vital to maintain the interest of the "non-working" Rustics and the other recipient who receive the newsletter - some of them potentially very influential for the museum. Please could you (some of you at least - all of you would be even better and then I'd have material until well past my retirement date) put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard, and tell everyone what particular items in the collection fascinate you. Don't worry about photographs or illustrations, I can usually source those myself. If you can help please send your contributions to me via rural.life@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx NOT (repeat NOT) by replying to this email so that everyone on the list gets it and then don't need to read it in the newsletter!!!! Also, for reasons which will become obvious at the end of September, this issue may be a little delayed in order that I can incorporate some important news. It should still be in plenty of time to attract the volunteers for that vital December event though! Thanks in anticipation, Chris -- Chris Shepheard writing as himself chris.shepheard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx from far west Surrey www.chrispics.co.uk Please remember what you post to this list is seen by volunteers, staff and interested members of our public. Also, to avoid delay, ensure you post to the list from the email address with which you are subscribed. Chris Shepheard - list administrator
