Lisa has been working with Kit Colter at UNM to organize students and they
created a new student club: MyVote NM. UNM chartered them this week! They had
originally planned on having a table at UNM on Friday, but they lucked out and
were given a table at Student Organization Day on Thursday, August 23rd.
Apparently, there are more students that day. So, instead of attending the
Friday event, we are joining the Thursday event.
We need VRAs. There are two shifts: 10-12 and 12-2. You will need to be a
mobile VRA and walk around with clipboards because we cannot sit at the MyVote
NM table. (They are giving away donuts and other prizes and it may be construed
as "buying votes.") Please email me personally and let me know if you are
interested.
A big Thank You to Nob Hill Indivisible. They gave us $400 for this endeavor!

We are now on Thursday from 10a to 2pm on Student Organization Day. Kit worked
magic at Student Services!!! Many many more students that day milling around.
Bob and Karen, can you join us Thurs instead of Fri?
Karen, we'd love to have you at both places: table and signing up voters. We'll
(Kit, myself, and a couple of her buddies) be directing students we make
contact with for MyVote NM (MVNM) to the table for goodies. Sign up sheets for
MVNM will be at the table, as will info for upcoming social (1st party),
giveaway goodies, and social media info.
Can we brief at 9:30a? Our table will have big banner and balloons ☺
