Some of you are still recovering from Saturday’s powerful Families Belong
Together marches that took place all across the country.
And while we will continue demanding an end to family separation and detention,
we also are organizing nationwide vigils to confront corruption and demand
democracy.

American corruption is a crisis years in the making.
From big money in politics and far-reaching voting rights rollbacks to attacks
on the rule of law, rampant conflicts of interests and the flagrant abuse of
public office for personal gain, the degradation of our democracy has reached a
profound new low.
We must urgently rise up to defend our democratic system.
Join us on Wednesday, July 18, for a national vigil to confront corruption and
demand democracy.
A functioning democracy allows us to hold wrongdoers accountable and create a
government that reflects our values of inclusivity, justice and decency.
But we are on a dangerous trajectory.
Many of our representatives and our current administration actively conspire to
evade accountability for injustice, attack the rule of law and ethics, put
donors ahead of voters and work to gerrymander their voting districts to
manipulate election outcomes and hold onto power.
This must stop.

fight for our democracy, humanity and morality.
