There will be a pre-rally march before the Sat, June 30th Families Belong
Together Rally. We are asking folks to meet in front of the Federal Courthouse
on Lomas. March will begin at 8:30a and end at the Civic Plaza in time for the
9a to 11a rally. We'll march down 4th St. This is a "spontaneous" march -
people just walking and peaceably assembling.
I am needing your assistance to:1) get the word out, 2) help with chants 3) be
intentionally placed within the group of marchers to direct traffic down 4th4)
and help nip any potential foolishness in the bud.
- ACLU will be having a press conf on the 28th regarding march and rally.
Time is unknown at this time but it will be in front of Fed Courthouse.
- We have a commitment from NM lawyer grps to be present and watch for 1st
Amendment violations. I got Angelica Hall's card soooo fast in case I get
arrested :-)
- Elsa is out of the country, Karen, do you know anyone else with the
Peacekeepers we can get in touch with?
