Well, while we were fighting the Kavanaugh nomination/confirmation, Sec. Zinke
quickly and quietly set the wheels in motion to start leasing land near Chaco
Canyon for oil/gas drilling. There was a brief, 2-week comment period that
expired on October 19th. Michelle Kavanaugh with Sen. Udall's office
recommended that we contact Sec. Zinke directly and let him know how we feel
about this. It needs to be done ASAP - like this week.
