[rollei_list] Re: why I'm not digital

I'm talking about the folks who buy what photographers have to sell...
and about the "gotta be with-it" kiddies who determine their value as
human beings by the "currentness" of their tools. There is this silly
willingness to replace, rather than supplement, what we have achieved in
the last century, with yet another application on a computer screen.
And, for so many, espec the young, it is about attitude. THEIR attitude.

I hybridize. Because the net is a good selling tool, I have a scanner.
Publishers welcome digital files -- they're not the ones talking
schleimscheisse when they find where they originated. I keep my old
birds because I know what I can achieve with them.

The next generation will find me quaint -- so what.

Try a Summicron sometime.
