That's because of the serifs!



A key darkroom chemistry expert Bill Troop who wrote The The Film Developing
Cookbook with Steve Anchell is also a typography guy.
Last I looked his website was half darkroom chemistry half type.

I find it interesting seemingly unrelated stuff I'm sure Troop can tell you
about how understanding Claude Garamond made him better able to crack the
Minor White A+B neutral restrainer code!
