Meaning no disrespect, but it had been less than seven hours from the original
poster's message until this one of yours. It is well within the boundaries of
courtesy that Mr. Rupert had not yet replied by that time. He may have had far
more pressing matters, such as work, demanding his attention in the meantime.
As he has now explained, he reads the digest version which is only emailed once
in every 24 hours. Furthermore, he is posting from an Italian domain, meaning
that his local time is probably either 9 or 10 hours ahead of yours in CA. For
all these reasons I think he deserves a great deal more slack than your message
would seem to imply.
