According your description about your lens hood, I
have no doubt your lens hood is Bay I for 6x6 or a
2.8A lens hood if it has the number "34" and the
diameter symbol engraved in the ring, it would be a
rare item but I'm afraid it is not the right and /or
more suitable lens hood for your 3.5E (or C)camera.

I was watching my cameras bayonet rings and the 2.8A
bayonet ring in several detailed photographs I have on
the 2.8A and I can say the only difference between my
Bay I Rolleicord IV and the the 2.8A size II bayonet
ring is the size. Both rings (Bay I and 2.8A size II)
have identical placement for the taking lens outer
ring accesories male holders, at 7-8 hours position,
at 12 hours position and 4-5 hours position.
In the other hand, these accesories male holders for
the Bay II from the 3.5E (or C) cameras are placed at
10-11 hours position, 1-2 hours position and 6 hours
position; the Bay III accesories male holders have
identical placement regarding the Bay II from 3.5C (or
E) cameras (always talking about the taking lens outer
ring).-

All the best
