That is false economics. If you pay a qualified reapairman you will  
have to meet the repair costs. However, if you do it yourself, mess  
it up and then have to buy another camera for the cost of the repair  
you will have spent on the original camera, your time on the botched  
repair, AND on another camera (which may still need a CLA. What is  
reasonable about that?
