I never see them for sale anywhere except Kevin Camera in L.A.
There are several among our number who have questioned the quality of Wollensak lenses. Wollensak made some fine optical designs over the years. And they consistenly won the competitions for the supply of rangefinders and gunsights to the US Army from before WWI until well after WWII. On several occasions. other competitors included Zeiss and Barr & Stroud, and Wollensak did quite well in having fine optical and mechanical quality at a reasonable price.
And Wollensak, along with Kodak and Ross in the UK, developed vacuum lens-coating about the same time as did Smakula at Carl Zeiss Jena, albeit Zeiss was first in the marketplace.
