Peter,

I believe that Todd Belcher would be able to help you on the satin
vs. polished vs. black plastic lens caps.  The Rollei people in NY
told me that the polished mirror caps were intended to be a
centering aid for self timed pictures.  It could only be used that
way  if the cap assembly were reoriented on the viewing lens.

Frankly I prefer the black plastic folding caps, but I have seen
those only in Bay III size.
