Carlos,
That’s some serious repair costs. I might have considered getting rid of
cameras that need that much repair and invest the $$ into something different
like a GX, FX or even 6008...
There are much more reliable classic 35 mm SLRs than the SL35 E, notably a
Canon F1 or Nikon F2/F3 or FM3. For the latter you can even find recent Zeiss
glass. Also a very fine mechanical classic is a Kyocera Contax S2 with a Zeiss
Planar or pancake Tessar...
My last SL66 repair was still done by Werner Bruer - a retired Braunschweig
repair man - after I had bought the camera in Aachen. Need to give it another
workout soon, expecially with the Novoflex 500 and 240 lens heads I bought last
year.
In my view the compact 2.8/80 Planar is the best deal in SL66 lenses.
Tend to go for the more compact cameras in recent months and am still trying to
find the ideal 6 x 9 or 6 x 6 bellows folder.
'Hope your Rolleis are going to give you many more years of good service after
this.

The work is guaranteed for one year. The cost for the SL 66 and 2,8F is a lot
cheaper than if I buy second hand cameras, they would require a CLA soon
anyway.
FFS repaired my VSL3 E (new electronics and new shutter), Rolleiflex 3,5F(
camera refurbishing) and the Rollei 35S (CLA and battery adapter.) They are
working without problems, like new.
