Thank you Volker, it's a data to keep in mind. My SL66 had problems with
the main shutter, a focal plane type shutter The Compur leaf shutter in tha
Distagon 4/80 lens is an auxiliary shutter, it worked and it works fine
yet. This central leaf shutter is always open and you use it when you want
to use it, otherwise you only use the camera focal plane shutter. If you
want to use the Compur auxiliary shutter, you need to cock the camera focal
plane shutter and to cock the Compur shutter using and additional ring in
the lens barrel. It's necessary to use a slower shutter speed for the main
shutter then the shutter speed you selected for the Compur shutter, this
way the exposure is according the shutter speed for the Compur shutter.
Afeter you released both shutters at the same time using the camera
shutter release button, the Compur closes the leaves according the selected
speed and it keeps the leaves closed up to the focal plane shutter closes
too; when it happens, the Comppur leaves open again. It's easy in practical
use.
When my SL66 focal plane shuter started to delayminutes and hourse, I
could take images with the Compur shutter from 1/30to 1/500 shutter speeds
selectes in the lens barrel ring; the Compur shutter waited all the time
with the leaves closed up to the focal plane shutter closed. It was the
reason I waited this time to cock both shutter again, but the expsure was
right. One day the the focal plane shutter no longer closed, the mirror was
up and I couldn0t use the lens Compur shutter, but it always worked fine,
the problem was the focal plane shutter.-

I have just spoken to Mr. Czens of Arlüwa Czens GmbH in Cologne. He did a
fine CLA of my Fujica STX-1 (my first SLR) and also did a fine job in
overhauling a pre-war Plaubel Makina I of a friend of mine. I have asked
him if he still does repair of Compur shutters especially those for the two
Rolleiflex SL66 lenses with leaf shutters you wrote. He still does so and
he still has spare parts. He thinks that the leaf shutters might just
requires a proper service rather than a replacement of parts. He is
confident in being able to repair it.

hours; i waited hours between photographs, the main shutter no longer
worked finally and it was impossible to use the lens Compur shutter. This
auxiliary shutter for the Distagon 4/80 and for some 150mm lenses versions
were thought for flash photography mainly.

had said that parts for the Compur shutter were unavailable, so that the
special 4/80 Distagon was un-repairable. Be careful when considering this
lens.
