Today we finally have some lovely clear sunny weather, so I took my 3.5f, with working meter, out for a morning shoot around the city streets. I realized as I walked that the pleasures of the Rolleiflex are as much in the capturing of the image, as in viewing the image. There's a kind of zen calm about the care required to compose and shoot...opening the hood, popping up the magnifier, moving the camera, or body, to arrive at the desired image on the screen, then the almost silent shutter release, and the winding to advance and re-cock the shutter... And, the added benefit of comments like this, received this morning, from a couple out taking their morning stroll: "Wow, that's a beautiful camera! How old is it?" Have a good shooting day, and may the light be with you. peace, Ken -- The Rev.
