invented
the
strap
about
1957.
It
was
made
of
beautiful
leather.
The
strap
could
be
placed
under
a
sports
jacket
and
removed
for
use
at
will
and
replaced
under
the
jacket
when
needed.
Bob
made
a
deal
with
George
Ward
of
Denver,
whereas
George
would
manufacture
and
sell
the
strap
and
Bob
would
receive
royalties.
In
1958
or
59,
Bob
went
to
Europe
to
live
for
about
15
years.
On
his
return
to
the
U.S.,
Bob
and
I
were
attending
a
photo
show
in
Denver.
We
visited
George
in
his
studio
one
evening,
where
Bob
discovered
that
George
had
been
selling
the
strap
for
15
years
and
had
not
sent
any
royalties
to
Bob.
As
far
as
I
know
Bob
never
received
any
royalties.
I
have
about
a
half
dozen
of
the
straps
(brand
new).
Such
is
life.
