Don,

If they are in season, and you have a Migratory Waterfowl stamp on your OK Hunter License, you can take the limit. Even one would make a superb New Years Eve Dinner for a small family.

They taste superior to duck, wild turkey or pheasant.

Here on the East Coast, geese have become impossibly expensive in grocery stores. Even at the Fort Lee Commissary, they are running around $70 for a medium-sized bird. Pam and I had one for Christmas dinner about four years ago for which we paid around $15. So, yes, go out and get the permit and shoot a bunch. Hard freeze one and put in to a styrofoam box with some dry ice and send it to me. <he grins>

Geese are all dark meat, effectively. They are quite greasy but the taste is superlative.
