I have been amusing myself taking pictures with Tri-X and an odd assortment of cameras, developing the negatives in Rodinal and printing on the computer. I have a 4990 and I am happy with it. But I am by no means a perfectionalist (sp?). I hold with Cartier Bresson that "Sharpness is a bourgeois virtue" :-).

I have used it to successfully scan 6x6, 4x5 and 6-1/2 x 8-1/2 full plate sized negatives. The dedicated Minolta Dual II scanner I borrowed from my neighbor makes better scans of 35mm negatives.

I am not completely happy with the HP Photosmart 8150 printer.

I realize this may be an oft-asked question, but, what are you using for medium format negative film scanning? Is anyone using the Epson Perfection 4990 flatbed? If so, how are your results?
