I have a 4,5x6 cm back for my SL66, and I can’t help but notice that it doesn’t
take the 4.5cm chunk out of the middle of the 6x6 frame, but takes it all from
It’s the equivalent of shifting the lens up, and it is by half the distance, so
7.5cm (half the 15cm that the frame is reduced by).
This is a great boon when shooting architecture, or anything we would normally
tilt the camera up to include.
I got the back from Peter Mathei, along with almost all my SL66 kit, and I
think it’s one of the many ingenious design features of the SL66 system. I
