2011/12/19 Jan Decher <Jan.Decher@xxxxxxx>: > If I shelled out that much $$ for an FX I would want the Zeiss Planar on it. > Time to look for a used late GX (with the classic strap connector). > I also think F&H / DHW had it right with the name plate on the GX. Why the > retro script on the current FX?? There is no doubt the FX has very good price comparatively, it costs about $5000, a Hasselblad 503 CW with A12 back and Planar 2.8/80 lens costs almost $7000, a Mamiya 645 AFD III with film back and the cheapest Mamiya AF 2.8/80 lens costs about $6000 and a 35mm RF camera Leica M7 "starter set" with Summicron 2/50 lens costs about $6500, the FX is the cheapest one with the Planar name on the lens or without it. There is no GX with the classic strap connector Jan, if you find one, it's the FX. GX models have the SL 66 strap holders style or 6000 cameras strap holders style (the newer GX). Some designer at the factory thought if they were putting the F strap holders for the FX, why not the Rolleiflex Original and Standard script style for the camera name.
