This is the method I use although I've also used the
alternative two needle method shown in his link. Either
works. The hardest part is to estimate the length of the
thread needed. Too long is OK but if the thread is too short
you have to arrange a lock stitch on the first thread and
start the other. Its not difficult but can leave a visible
knot.
