Today's New York Times had a magazine type supplement about watches. On the back cover they featured a 1929 4.5 Original Rolleiflex (first model) in a Vacheron Constantin advert.
What got to me was a two page spread where they asked the question "Why do you wear a watch?" They did not ask Joe Six-Pack or even T.C. Mits. They asked 15 presidents or CEOs of the top Swiss watchmaking companies such as Jaeger-Lecoultre, Piaget, IWC, TAG Heuer etc. 

Not one of them said " To tell the time!"
