From CarlosMFreaza:
At the ending of 1972 the contract to provide Carl Zeiss standard lenses for the Rollei TLR cameras finished ....
According the Prochnow's Report 2 third reviewed edition from 2008, 3000 Rolleiflex T with Xenar 3,5/75 lenses were made from the beginning of 1973 to August 1976 ...
I think Rollei used the Xenar lens on the T for a lot of cameras and then it has nothing special..
Thanks Carlos for those precise details. Nothing special, but only 3000 Xenars for the rolleiflex T ... Independantly, a rolleiflex T is not rare and a 3.5-75 mm Xenar has nothing special ; only the combination of both is special from a Rollei-historical point of view. Many things can be rare and still be without anything special ;-) I remember this syllogism supposed to puzzle kids ;-) "- Boy, listen to this: everything rare is expensive - Yes Dad! - Ok, then: a good but cheap horse is rare - I agree! - Therefore a good cheap horse is expensive" -- Emmanuel --- Rollei List - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx- Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'subscribe' in the subject field OR by logging into www.freelists.org
