Hi. I have a Rollei MX also. It is the later model with the baffles and
has the Tessar lens. I bought this camera new when I was in Germany in
1954. I am strictly an amateur and have several other cameras, so it has
been used lightly over that time. It has performed flawlessly all these
years and has never had a CLA. The shutter speeds are probably off, but
they still sound about right. Everything still operates smooth and quiet.
Since I only use B/W in it, the speeds don't need to be right on. This has
produced some really great photos for me over the years and plan to keep it
till I am long gone. Let my kids wonder 'what the heck is this'? :)
