That's a bit of a screw-up. The picture is a Leica R ultrawide lens, so we
don't know whether the price is for the lens, or for the camera we can't see.
But I'm going to guess it's the camera, because to a collector, $1451 might be
a reasonable price for a 'new' Vb.
In general, Rollei prices have been going way up, supposedly because Chinese
collectors have entered the market. I'm glad I got mine before this happened.
Reminds me of when Japanese collectors started buying Leicas in the '70s, &
students could no longer afford them.

But since the economic slow-down, a couple of collectors' Rolleis have sold for
low prices – or not at all. A week or so ago a RolleiWide that appeared to be
in quite good shape sold for $2800, which was below the usual price. And
nobody bid on two 2.8 Biometars, the especially rare Type 2's with
Synchro-Compur shutters.
A small favorable anecdote, however: An Old Standard in good working order
sold for $99.99 (to me), and it turned out to be an unusual one, according to
Phillips – one of the few of the f3.5's that still had a Compur shutter. Not
that I care much – I wanted a good uncoated lens, not a collector's item.
