Hi Richard,

the problem isn't the volume, it's my available spare time between running a (two, actually) business, having a family, trying to find time for friends, etc.

I can go to the lab and let them do it, but it sucks when they screw it up and I lose images I can never take again. So I could do it myself, but would need something that is at least semi-automatable. Standing around turning a tank upside down every minute for 10 minutes (plus loading, fixing, rinsing, drying) isn't something I really have time for.

My shooting tends to go in waves, it's been about 6 months since last I had time, and then I shot about 10 rolls in a few short days.

Maybe one day when (if) I retire I'll have the time needed to develop manually. By that time I don't know if film will be around at all....

Hi Slobodan, Elias and others,

I spoke with the lab again today, and they have apologized as well as
offered to do what they can (with a digital scanner) to salvage
whatever's on the thin rolls.

What volume of film do you need to process? If not large you can do well with small tanks. I still prefer the stainless steel variety. This stuff is available used now for a pittance.
