[rollei_list] Rollei Lens Elements

I read somewhere that the additional element was a marketing ploy.
Photographers believed that more elements = better quality and that there
had been an issue with flare/haze on the 5 element Planar lens, so Rollei
incorporated a UV filter in front the optical train and said the lens was
now a 6 element.
Any comments....?
