came my way. Would still do it. Now I develop film and digital dark room with
friends around in my church office. Well praise God we are able to amaze people
with film. Hen ask how I do it I say it is the camera

71 y.o here...and yes, first processing was done in 1956 with Kodak TRI CHEM
pack, MQ developer/stop bath/fixer. Prints were contact printed in a
homemade contact printer made of wood, covered with black paper. Two way
socket inside for 7(?) watt red and white bulbs. cut was made in wooden box to
hold a metal contact print frame that sandwiched the negative and paper
against glass and exposed it to the lights.
Same Trim Chem pack was used for both film processing and printing
(cannot remember if the dilution of MQ developer was altered for printing.
If I live to be 100 I will NEVER forget the smell of those chemicals. I'd
recognize them anywhere!

I had a problem. I went to the local 5-10 cent store and bought a red light
bulb. It was far from a safety light. Finally realized that and bought a real
safety lamp.
