I don't think that analogy is true. I am a fan of the Rollei TLR and with good 
reason, its the best or one of the best 120 ever made. I don't think the same 
can be said of the 35 in the 135 format. However, I can imagine for 
applications such as mounaineering it is excellent.
Please also note that the 35 is not used in a wide range of photo applications, 
compare this with Rollei TLRs which are used widely with applications other 
than close up.
This is the heart of my point.
