Thank you so much for your advise and suggestions! I will have a better idea
once I receive the camera as to what might be wrong. Best case there is nothing
wrong and the seller simply did not know how to operate the camera. Otherwise
it may have to go for repairs, and thank you for all your suggestions. I do
actually deal with Camera-Traders in Victoria Hauke. It is a fine store and
they sell items sometimes hard to find elsewhere (BTW they currently have a
lovely Rolleiflex Planar 2.8 for sale, it looks to be in very nice condition).
I think I will try and avoid sending the camera overseas due to all the
complexities mentioned. I had a CLA done on my Rolleiflex T by a local
technician (German) who did a fine job on it and also repaired the shutter. I
will talk to him and see what he says once I have the camera. I will update you
in due course and thank you all again for sharing your experience.
